St Davids Day

St David’s Day is on 1st March. Saint David is the patron saint of Wales. We celebrate St. David’s Day on the 1st of March. This day is called Dydd GwylDewi in Welsh. Here you can learn how St David's Day is celebrated and discover how you can celebrate St David's Day at home.

Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year/Spring Festival in 2021 will be celebrated on Friday 12th February, it is being celebrated by lots of different communities around the world and an example of one of these is Chinese New Year. The Chinese New Year lasts for 15 days. This year sees us moving from the year of The Rat to the year of The Ox.

Shrove Tuesday

Tuesday 16th February is Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day). Shrove Tuesday marks the start of the Christian festival of Lent. People traditionally cook and eat pancakes to use up foods such as fat, eggs and milk before Lent.
