The Brent Primary School

'Igniting Ambition Through Learning'

The Brent School Centenary sign

We are coming towards the end of another very successful year at our school, so we wanted to share the achievements of our pupils. As a consequence of hard work and determination, our children have achieved outstanding results again this year.

Our Foundation Stage pupils' Good Level of Development is above the National average.

Our Year 1 pupils performed above the National average in their Phonics.

Our Year 2 pupils are above the National average for Reading, Writing and Maths.

Our Year 6 pupils are above the National average for Reading, Writing and Maths at all levels, including Level 6 (Level 6 is the expected level for a Year 9 pupil!).

Please take the time to look at the Attainment and Progress Report

As the Headteacher of The Brent Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our friendly, caring environment where our goal is to work in partnership with parents to best benefit our children.

At The Brent Primary School, we strive to ensure that our children receive the very best education that we can deliver. Our core purpose is to enable all pupils to excel in their academic, social and personal achievement. We achieve this through creating a safe, stimulating, supportive and inclusive environment where the health, safety and well-being of all members of our community are at the heart of everything we do. At our school, we promote a passion for life-long learning through an engaging curriculum that develops independent learners. We develop citizens who will take their place confidently within a rapidly changing world at local, national and global levels. Respect for self and respect for others underpins all aspects of school life. We believe every child is entitled to enjoy his or her childhood. As a consequence, The Brent will always be a friendly and welcoming place, where laughter is often heard and definitely encouraged.

I am extremely proud of my very strong team. My staff give far in excess of what is required of them because they care deeply about The Brent. As a consequence, children made accelerated progress in all year groups last year. Our Brent children are a credit to themselves, their families and their school.
